August 8, 2018
SCHAUMBURG, IL (August 8, 2018) – Charles Industries, Ltd., a leading provider of outside plant innovations for telecommunications, wireless, broadband cable and utility providers, has once again been named to Broadband Communities Magazine’s annual list of the Top 100 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Companies as reported in the magazine’s July 2018 issue. The list recognizes innovative firms that finance, plan, design, engineer, construct install and advocate for FTTH networks in the United States and beyond. First appearing in 2006, this year’s list marks the 13th consecutive year Charles Industries has been named to Broadband Communities’ FTTH Top 100.
Broadband Communities compiles its annual list of the Top 100 Broadband Companies through an editorial panel that reviews hundreds of organizations from around the world focusing on those doing business in North America. The Top 100 recognizes those companies that have contributed to the magazine’s mission of “Building a Fiber-Connected World.” Editors consider how important the organizations are to advancing fiber broadband rather than how important broadband is to the organization. This year’s list recognizes many niches in the complex FTTH ecosystem, including; optical fiber and enclosures suppliers, optical electronic and software providers, design engineering and installation firms, network operators, nonprofits who assist communities, and distributors of fiber optic products.
Charles was recognized in the Passive Components for FTTH Networks – Outside Plant and Inside Plant category for developing innovative fiber distribution solutions, including Charles Universal Broadband Enclosures (CUBE), Charles Fiber Distribution Points (CFDP Pedestals), Buried Distribution Optical Pedestals (BDO Pedestals), Charles Fiber Flexibility Pedestals (CFFP), Charles Fiber Interconnect Terminals (CFIT), Charles Fiber Building Terminals (CFBT), Charles Fiber Cross-Connects (CFXC), and Charles Multi-Purpose Housings (CMPH).
